KIDS COALITION OF OKLAHOMA COUNTY
SEEKING APPLICANTS

Kids Coalition of Oklahoma County is seeking applicants for the position of Executive Director.  The mission of the Kids Coalition is to “coordinate resources to protect children and strengthen families.”  Our vision is that “every child and family has timely access to quality resources within their community ensuring positive outcomes and healthy futures for children and families of Oklahoma County.”

The Executive Director shall exemplify the mission and goals of the Board of Directors and is responsible for ensuring that all orders and resolutions of the Board are instituted. Under the guidelines set by policy, the Executive Director directs overall operations of the Kids Coalition and serves as liaison with the Board of Directors, prepares fiscal year budget and develops goals for program components, works with the Board of Directors to maintain strong funding base and coordinates and oversees all fund raising efforts and works with program managers to develop short and long-term planning.  The Executive Director is responsible to the Board of Directors of the Kids Coalition and shall undergo an annual evaluation by the Board.

Minimum requirements include: a college degree, preferably a masters degree in business administration, social work, communications, public relations or journalism from an accredited university; 8-10 years of administrative and supervisory experience; and computer literacy.
Special Requirements include: knowledge of non-profit corporation Board of Directors’ organization structure, agency administration and personnel, budgeting and finance, fund raising and public relations, and local, state and federal legislative process; excellent communication skills; willingness to work non-standard hours and travel; ability to relate well to people and to work under pressure and/or crisis.
