The CARE Center - Child Abuse Response and Evaluation, Inc. (“The CARE Center”) is Oklahoma County’s nationally accredited, child advocacy center. The center is the non-profit member of Oklahoma County’s multi-disciplinary team known as the District Attorney’s Task Force on Child Abuse: The CARE Center Team. As such, the center carries out its mission of assisting child abuse victims through investigation and intervention in a supportive and private environment.
Based on information provided by the Task Force’s members and participating agencies, 757 children were involved in investigations by law enforcement or child protective services in 2006.
